Fund accounting specialist
Are you a knowledgeable, independent-minded detail-oriented problem solver? Do you enjoy being an impactful member of a small team? Foord is looking for an experienced fund accountant to ensure excellent investor service and operational delivery.
The role encompasses all aspects of investment fund accounting and portfolio administration including instrument valuation and settlement, cash flow management, corporate actions, daily unit trust pricing, quarterly unit trust distributions, foreign trade execution and management, and regulatory reporting.
Candidates should have at a minimum:
- A degree in accounting, business administration, finance or similar
- At least three years of asset management fund accounting and/or unit pricing experience
- Solid understanding of both segregated and unit trust fund accounting environments
- Knowledge of financial markets and instruments
- Impeccable personal integrity
- Excellent analytical and data management skills
- Excellent numeracy and computational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent multi-tasking and multi-disciplinary skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work seamlessly in a team
Occasional after-hours work is required, and own transport is preferred. This is a full-time office-based position in Pinelands, Cape Town.
Preference will be given to suitably qualified candidates from designated groups.
